Jul 31, 2018 I had a peculiar issue with copying and pasting files from my local computer to a Remote Desktop session. I could copy and paste locally, but the option to paste would be grayed out on the Remote Desktop computer.

  1. Mar 20, 2019  In Remote Desktop Connection, type the name of the PC you want to connect to (from Step 1), and then select Connect. On your Windows, Android, or iOS device: Open the Remote Desktop app (available for free from Microsoft Store, Google Play, and the Mac App Store), and add the name of the PC that you want to connect to (from Step 1).
  2. Use Microsoft Remote Desktop for Mac to connect to a remote PC or virtual apps and desktops made available by your admin. With Microsoft Remote Desktop, you can be productive no matter where you are. Temporary files used for clipboard file copy and paste are now deleted on app exit (instead of relying on macOS to clean them up).
  3. Nov 05, 1934  Download this app from Microsoft Store for Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 Mobile, Windows Phone 8.1, Windows 10 Team (Surface Hub), HoloLens. See screenshots, read the latest customer reviews, and compare ratings for Microsoft Remote Desktop.
  4. I am unable to copy and paste between my desktop a remote desktop session even though Clipboard is enable under local resources in the Mstsc.exe I'm on a Windows XP SP3 connected to Server 2003.
  5. Mar 19, 2020  Type: remote desktop Hit Enter Open Local Resources Check off 'Clipboard' Click More Check off Drives Click OK Restart the connection then see if you can then copy and paste. Open Windows Defender Security Center Click Virus & threat protection Click Virus & threat protection settings Scroll down to Controlled folder access Toggle it off.

Basically, RealVNC keeps the clipboard in sync, between the 2 platforms, and you just use the native copy & paste commands on each platform.
