Sep 24, 2018 Today, we are announcing the general availability of Office 2019 for Windows and Mac. Office 2019 is the next on-premises version of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project, Visio, Access, and Publisher.
This article tells you everything you can expect from the all-new Outlook for Mac.
- Aug 21, 2019 Any ideas as to why Office 365 Outlook does not open on this pc? -Updated -Run the MS repair tool control panel Programs and features Microsoft Office Change Online Repair, which I assume it reinstalled Office 365 Personal, powered off and powered on the pc but no change the issue still remains the same!
- After updating to Monthly Channel Version 1905 (Build 6) and higher, Outlook may hang at loading profile or won't start. You may notice that if you open Task Manager that other Office processes are unexpectedly listed even though you did not open the application. If you end those processes it may enable Outlook to then open normally.
- Outlook Does Not Open? Outlook is not opening? If your Microsoft Outlook will not open, there could a few reasons why. Outlook has a tendency to leave multiple processes running in the background, most of which are invisible to a computer user. If one of these processes is already running, attempting to open Outlook again will not display anything.
Requirements
macOS version 10.14 (Mojave) and later.
Outlook version 16.32 (19110306) and later.
An Office 365, Outlook.com, or Google account.
No shared or delegated accounts.

How to try the new experience
Join Office Insider Fast: https://insider.office.com/en-us/join/mac.
Select Check for Updates to install the latest Insider Fast update.
Open or restart Outlook, then turn on the New Outlook switch.
The Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) feature of Windows allows you to remotely view and control remote Windows desktops. Sharing resources between your local and remote PC can be tricky, but it is possible to share your local files and folders over a remote desktop session using RDC or other remote desktop tools like TightVNC.
What's new in Outlook for Mac
The new Outlook has many new features and improved experiences, including:
Customizable toolbar
Choose commands to display in the Toolbar. In the Toolbar, select the more icon , then Customize Toolbar… .
Improved search
Search is now powered by Microsoft Search and has better results and suggestions. Click in the search field or use keyboard shortcut Shift+Command+F to search.
My Day
View upcoming events in agenda or day view in the main window for mail. Select My Day in the View menu or use keyboard shortcut Shift+Command+] to turn My Day on or off.
Improved RSVP to meetings
Respond to meeting invites with email responses to the organizer directly from the Reading Pane. Type a message in the text field in the meeting invite and select Accept, Tentative, Decline, or Propose New Time.
More Office 365 Groups, including Calendars
View all your Office 365 Groups in Mail and Calendar view. In Mail, Groups are located under the Groups node for your account. In Calendar, Groups are located after calendar folders for your account.
Nested compose in the Reading Pane
Reply to messages without opening a new compose window. Select Reply, Reply All, or Forward in the Reading Pane, Toolbar, or Message menu or use keyboard shortcuts Command+R, Shift+Command+R, or Command+J.
Ignore Conversation
Delete all messages in a conversation, including messages already received and any new messages. Select Ignore Conversation in the Toolbar, Message menu, or message context menu, then confirm that you want to ignore the conversation.
Improved event scheduling
Create events by selecting a time block in the calendar grid. Add event details, including attendees and locations, and view attendee availability directly in the popover before sending.
When creating a new meeting, view attendee availability directly in the event window and adjust the time of the event by moving the event within the day view.
For meetings with large numbers of attendees, use the Scheduling Assistant to view availability, add and remove attendees, and reserve resources (such as conference rooms).

Known issues
The product team knows about and is investigating the following issues in the new Outlook for Mac:
Favorite folders can't be re-ordered in the sidebar
Snooze and Dismiss actions on Reminders don't sync across devices
Mail and events can't be copied to other folders
Shared calendars can't be added using Open Other User's Folder
Delegated and shared inboxes can't be added using Open Other User's Folder
Account descriptions can't be renamed - Now fixed in 16.33 (19120904)

Reporting issues and providing feedback
There are various ways to report issues and provide feedback to help improve the experience.
Contact Support
Please report issues using Contact Support in the Help menu.
After opening a support request, a help icon will appear next to the New Outlook switch to provide easy access to the current request.
Additionally, when a support agent provides a response, a red badge will appear on the help icon.
Feature requests
Please vote for feature requests using Suggest a Feature in the Help menu. This will open a UserVoice site dedicated to the new Outlook for Mac.
How to switch back
At any time, you can switch back by turning off the New Outlook switch.
Before switching back, you'll have the opportunity to provide feedback on the experience and to create an in-app reminder for when additional features become available.

Excel 2019 adds powerful new data analysis features, including new formulas and charts and enhancements to PowerPivot.
Word 2019 and Outlook 2019 help you focus on what matters most. Learning Tools, like Read Aloud and Text Spacing, make it easier to engage with your content. Focus Mode blocks out distractions and puts your content front and center. And Focused Inbox moves less important emails out of the way—so you can get straight to taking care of business. Office 2019 also includes new IT value for enhanced security and streamlined administration. We introduced Click-to-Run (C2R), a modern deployment technology, in Office 2013, and it’s now used to deploy and update Office across hundreds of millions of devices worldwide. With Office 2019, we’re moving the on-premises versions of Office to C2R to reduce costs and improve security. The advantages of C2R include predictable monthly security updates, up-to-date apps on installation, reduced network consumption through Windows 10 download optimization technology, and an easy upgrade path to Office 365 ProPlus. C2R offers the same enterprise-focused management capabilities as Microsoft Installer (MSI) based products and will also support an in-place upgrade when you move to Office 2019 from older MSI-based products. The 2019 release of Office products also includes updates to our servers, and in the coming weeks, we will release Exchange Server 2019, Skype for Business Server 2019, SharePoint Server 2019, and Project Server 2019.
Office 2019 is a valuable update for customers who aren’t yet ready for the cloud. And each time we release a new on-premises version of Office, customers ask us if this will be our last. We’re pleased to confirm that we’re committed to another on-premises release in the future. While the cloud offers real benefits in productivity, security, and total cost of ownership, we recognize that each customer is at a different point in their adoption of cloud services. We see the on-premises version of Office as an important part of our commitment to give customers the flexibility they need to move to the cloud at their own pace.
Availability
- Commercial volume-licensed (trusted) customers can access Office 2019 starting today.
- Office 2019 is now available for consumer and commercial customers. For consumer customers in China, India, and Japan, Office 2019 suites will be available in the next few months.
